The London-based (the UK) indie games publisher PQube and Bandung-based (Indonesia) indie games developer MassHive Media, are today super happy and excited to announce that “Potion Permit: Complete Edition” (their potion-themed open-ended sim RPG), is coming digitally and physically to PC (via Steam) and console (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch) s on May 30th, 2024.

The ‘Complete Edition’ will contain the base game of Potion Permit and all paid DLC, with over 30 cosmetic pieces of furniture to decorate your potion house.

A DLC pack for players that already own the base game will be available digitally on all platforms.

The town of Moonbury has always been wary of the advances of the outside world, preferring to rely on their traditional methods of healing. Until one day, when the mayor’s daughter falls ill, and the local witch doctor can do nothing to help her, they are forced to look outside their small community for help.

The Medical Association decides to send their most accomplished chemist – you – to help cure the mayor’s daughter and convince the residents of Moonbury of the wonders of modern alchemy. Gain their trust and tend to each person when they fall ill in this open – ended sim RPG.

ENJOY THE QUIET LIFE

In the downtime between treating the community’s ailments, you’ll be able to freely explore in and around Moonbury. Get to know the inhabitants a little better, take a rest in the tavern, or go fishing to catch something for dinner.

With your trusty canine companion, explore Moonbury’s delightfully charming locations where life is just a little slower than in the big city. While the lighting will change throughout the day, with the bright sun streaking across the meadows in the morning and street lamps illuminating the town in the early evening, there are no time limits for game objectives. You are free to go at your own pace and take it easy, just remember to pet your dog!

NEW FEATURES AND UPDATES SINCE LAUNCH

‘Potion Permit’ is a labour of love, and thanks to the enthusiasm of the community, the game has continued to have support and updates since its launch in 2022. In these key updates, we have introduced new mini-games, new romanceable characters, the Grow Box, additional languages, as well as many quality of life improvements.

The Grow Box – this object allows you to plant and grow your own materials instead of needing to go out and forage it yourself. This can be a lifesaver when you have to get a quick remedy for a patient!

New Romanceable Characters – Victor and Helene are now able to be dated! These unique individuals bring their own captivating stories and personalities to the Moonbury community, offering even more depth to your journey as you navigate the complexities of modern alchemy, relationships, and adventure.

New Mini-Games – One of our new mini-games allows you to join your faithful companion in a mushroom munching competition, where you must guide your loyal canine to devour delicious mushrooms while skillfully avoiding treacherous rocks. These engaging mini-games not only offer fun and challenges but also provide an opportunity to bond with your trusty companion.

New Language Added – ‘Potion Permit’ is now available to be played in Japanese.
