The South West of England-based indie games developer Crooks Peak today announced with great delight and thrill that their story-driven VR shooter “By Grit Alone“, is coming to Meta Quest (MQ 2 and MQ 3) this September (2024), as announced at the 2024 edition of the Upload VR Showcase.

By Grit Alone is an intense single-player VR action horror shooter that plunges players into the terrifying void of space where ancient derelict starships and ravenous aliens create a chilling fight for survival. Pre-orders are now open on the Meta Quest Store.

By Grit Alone is not just a game but a harrowing experience of frantic combat and deep sci-fi lore. Trapped in the so-called “Bermuda Triangle” of space, players must navigate through deathtrap wreckages, rogue AIs, and hard vacuum—all while battling relentless alien swarms. The unique sci-fi anthology narrative features twisted tales from renowned writers, including talents behind Dead Space, Resident Evil 8, and Doctor Who.
