The South West of England-based indie games developer Crooks Peak today announced that their story-driven VR shooter “By Grit Alone“, is now coming to Meta Quest (MQ 2 and MQ 3) this November (2024).

The decision to delay the release comes as part of Crook Peak’s commitment to delivering the best possible gaming experience for their fans and community. The additional time will allow the team to enhance and improve key aspects of the game, ensuring that players receive an immersive and high-quality experience that meets the high standards set by both the developers themselves and the community.

“As a new studio with a new game, our players are taking a chance on the unknown and we don’t want to let a single one down. We wanted to add a couple of quality of life features, VR comfort options and just a bit more polish so that the day 1 experience goes from good to great, to really reward the first players through the door with an action horror experience to remember.” said Charlie Cochrane, Founder of Crooks Peak.

By Grit Alone is not just a game but a harrowing experience of frantic combat and deep sci-fi lore. Trapped in the so-called “Bermuda Triangle” of space, players must navigate through deathtrap wreckages, rogue AIs, and hard vacuum—all while battling relentless alien swarms. The unique sci-fi anthology narrative features twisted tales from renowned writers, including talents behind Dead Space, Resident Evil 8, and Doctor Who.

The new release date for By Grit Alone is November 2024.
