Press release:
What started as the dreams of a young polish boy for a sequel to his favourite games, Black and White, Majesty, and Populous has finally concluded with an international team of indie developers, a cute RTS exiting Early Access, and one of the catchiest themes you’ll ever hear.

After being revealed in the 2024 PC Gamer Showcase and entering Early Access in July of 2025, Gold Gold Adventure Gold is preparing its full release on MAY 15th

Over the past nine months, the team at CanCanCanAMan has been working to bring fresh content updates, new characters, and more as we’ve prepared to roll out the golden carpet for full release!

August: Stragglers Patch.
In August we released The Stragglers Patch! bringing together elements that just missed the release window. Bloodgirl (Emi Miyajima), a neutral unit who latches on to the most powerful character in the area and a character evolution for one of our staple characters the Lightbringer (Tiana Camacho). Beyond this, more enemy characters were introduced to fight against, including a forest dryad that spawns in the wild around your town, and our first post launch boss – a giant slug!

September: Claws and Customization
Major changes to gameplay included new perks, new map generations, a MAJOR overhaul to the decorating system and massive changes to the overall gameplay. Claws and Customisations was our first patch having received two months of passionate community feedback. Many mute characters received voice lines by acclaimed actors, new characters joined the list of both allied and enemy forces and of course we fixed SO MANY bugs … and probably introduced a handful more too.

November: Farms and Foundations
Achievements, new arenas, terraforming and more! Farms and Foundations shook up the
GGAG world, combining hotfixes, voice actor updates and even a shop for your pet God Beast.

At this point in Early Access, we wanted to give our players as much freedom as they could

handle! Change the world, put cute bows on your pet rock, and we even began to hear

whispers about a special unit…

December: The Winter Update
The Fox Musketeer was a special unit – in that her conception began completely within the community! What was one person posting about their love for Fox Girls quickly grew into a server wide meme – and we couldn’t deny that level of passion. So as an early Christmas gift, we got to work and added her to the game. She wasn’t the only new addition though – we included event quests, updated unit names, new buildings, new threats and in the spirit of coming together, introduced some seriously powerful combo attacks when you have certain types of units together.

2026: More Updates
With the new year rolling in, we knew we wanted to launch the game – so the updates became more technical focused. Ironing out the kinks and adding mechanics – but we still had some notable moments.

At the end of January we attended SUPERMAGFEST where our game won Best Art!

We added Conquest Mode, rather than just fight to survive, you complete small missions in various zones to conquer a whole map.

Major updates to the UI

New units, attacks, enemies, buildings and more!

We focused on Steam Deck compatibility so you can City Build on the go!

Cutscenes, Missions and more structure. Now you can enjoy the sandbox – or you can play a more structured experience!

What’s next for Gold Gold Adventure Gold?

Good question! With 1.0 on the horizon, we’re not going to spill all of our secrets yet but we can leave you with some teases. Expect a major boss fight, a new pet god beast and a secret special mission! All that and more is dropping May 15th.
