Press release:
Paris, France, July 22, 2026 – Microids, in partnership with Double Jack, today announced that Maestro, a rhythm game where players conduct a symphonic orchestra through motion controls, will be released in a physical edition on Nintendo Switch on September 17, 2026. A new track, “Ashes on the Fire” from Attack on Titan, will be available.

Maestro is a rhythm game that allows one to experience music from the conductor’s point of view. Players step onto the conductor’s podium in a Parisian opera house, and lead the musicians with intuitive and expressive gestures. Players hold a Joy-Con in each hand, one guiding the baton to keep tempo, the other cueing orchestra sections and controlling dynamics.

Maestro is designed to be fun to play for anyone in any setting. The game doesn’t require music knowledge, and remains accessible to newcomers while offering a challenge for rhythm game fans. Four difficulty modes, global leaderboards, and a range of cosmetic unlocks give players room to grow and to make each performance their own. The game supports tabletop and docked play, equally suiting solo sessions and shared living room play.

The game’s iconic repertoire includes classical pieces by composers like Beethoven, Brahms, and Mozart, as well as soundtracks from iconic franchises such as Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter. The full tracklist is available on the official website.

“Nintendo players deserve to conduct Beethoven from their living room. So I made that happen,” said Eric de Roch, CEO of Culture.

Awarded Meta’s Game of the Year in 2024, Maestro has already proven successful in VR. Double Jack has now fully adapted the core gameplay to Nintendo hardware, with Joy-Con motion controls and flexible play styles in mind. To deliver a cinematic experience on a TV, the studio rebuilt the game’s dynamic camera and hand-animation system for flat screens. With this new system, players still feel like virtuosos facing the pressure of the crowd and the orchestra in front of them.

Maestro will be available in physical edition for Nintendo Switch on September 17, 2026.

The game is also available on Meta Quest, PSVR2, Pico, and SteamVR. For more information about the game, players can visit the official website, join the community on Discord, and follow the game on Instagram, TikTok, X, and Facebook.
