Press release:
July 30, 2026 | Hyperstacks, a VR action platformer eight years in the making, is out now on Steam VR. It also arrives on Meta with its 1.0 update, following early access.
Hyperstacks is built around combat, parkour, and logic-driven puzzles across handcrafted campaign levels. Additionally, a full in-game level editor, the same tools the developers used themselves, lets players build and share their own, with a growing library of community creations already live.
“Eight years of development, thousands of hours of work, and finally it is here,” said Extrys Casasola Díaz, founder of Squirrel Bytes.
“What began as a solo project grew into something far bigger, and today, Hyperstacks is finally launching.”
The game is priced at £17.74/€19.99/$19.99, with a 15% launch discount on Steam for the first two weeks, running until August 13th. The demo also remains live.
About the Game
Hyperstacks is a VR world of handcrafted challenges, memorable characters and community-made levels. Take on character-led quests and jump into a growing library of community creations.
As you move between campaign and community levels, you will fight, climb, dodge, solve and adapt.
Hyperstacks levels are built around three core pillars:
Combat: Fight with a variety of weapons built to feel great in VR. Face melee and ranged enemies through bullet-hell encounters, react under pressure and use everything around you to turn fights in your favour.
Parkour: Climb, swing and improvise your way through levels with grappling hooks, ziplines, teleporters and more.
Logic: Powered by Greenlink, a flexible system for connecting and driving interactions, Hyperstacks supports everything from simple puzzle setups to elaborate contraptions, letting levels react and behave in creative ways.
The Level Editor
Every campaign level is built with the same tools available to players. The in-game level editor lets you create levels with enemies, traps, movement mechanics, puzzles and logic systems, then share them with the community. A growing library of player creations means there is always something new to play.
