Today, Atari announced PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch physical editions for their co-op penguin platformer Bread & Fred, launching on December 9, 2026. Pre-orders are now available via Strictly Limited Games for $34,99 / €29,99 / £25,99, with every standard edition including a printed manual.

In Bread & Fred, players must work together to help two penguins jump and climb to the top of a snowy mountain. Players must steer penguin pals Bread and Fred through a lively climb that requires both precision and teamwork, and with the potential to fall and pull their partner down with them, Bread & Fred is a true test of collaboration and communication.

Fans can pre-order their physical copy today ahead of the December 9 launch. The digital version of Bread & Fred is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch. Steam, GOG.com and Epic Games Store.
