Varennes, Canada – August 19, 2026 – Dodo Tako, the publishing label of Canadian indie developer Triple Boris, is excited to announce that co-op party game Hack ‘n’ Stack, will launch on Steam and Nintendo Switch on September 24.

After winning over players during the latest Steam Next Fest with its free demo, Hack ‘n’ Stack is ready to unleash its unique blend of tower defense, cooperative strategy, and physics-based mayhem. It will be showcased at Gamescom at the Dodo Tako booth (Hall 10.2, Booth F011g).

Build Together… Then Throw Your Friends at the Enemy

In Hack ‘n’ Stack, up to 4 players team up locally or online to gather resources, build walls and defensive towers, and survive relentless waves of enemies.

Of course, cooperation is optional.

Thanks to the game’s fully physics-driven world, just about everything can become a weapon—building blocks, stunned enemies, environmental objects, and even your own teammates. What begins as a carefully coordinated defense quickly spirals into gloriously unpredictable multiplayer chaos.

Simon Dansereau, Co-Founder and CEO of Triple Boris, explains the team’s philosophy:

After releasing the Hack ‘n’ Stack demo during Steam Next Fest, we gathered invaluable player feedback that helped us refine the experience and make the game even more fun and satisfying.”

The project also represents the next step in the studio’s evolution as an independent creator.

“After collaborating with industry leaders such as Ludia, Activision, Unity, and ZeniMax Online Studios, we wanted to channel that experience into creating original worlds of our own under the Dodo Tako label. Our goal is simple: build games that bring people together through creativity, laughter, and memorable multiplayer moments.”

Hack’n’Stack Features

Players can look forward to:

24 handcrafted levels spread across four distinct biomes—Forest, Village, Coast, and Mountains—each featuring unique gameplay challenges.

Four playable anthropomorphic heroes with more than 750 combinations of hats and weapons to customize their look.

Five enemy classes, each requiring different defensive strategies, including standard, fast, heavy, explosive, and armored foes.

Up to four-player local split-screen and online co-op.

A vibrant hand-painted cartoon art style packed with rich textures and expressive animations.

Hack ‘n’ Stack will be available in English and French for $19.99 USD / €10.99 on Steam and Nintendo Switch on September 24.
