London, 27th August 2026 – PQube today launched Aggelos 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the acclaimed 2D action-platformer metroidvania, physically on PlayStation 5® and Nintendo Switch™, and digitally on Steam®, PlayStation® 5, PlayStation® 4, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. To celebrate, a brand-new trailer was revealed, giving players a taste of what they can expect as they return to the Kingdom of Lumen, embrace a shadowy new form, and fight their way through interconnected Light and Dark realms.

Blending lightning-fast combat with precision platforming, Aggelos 2 invites players on an adventure across the Kingdom of Lumen, where the Gods face imminent defeat at the hands of the Army of Darkness. Taking on the role of an Aggelos to defeat the darkness, players will harness angelic powers that favour a slower, disciplined approach, while being able to switch to a shadowy new Demon form that is highly agile, aggressive and bristling with dark powers.

Navigating across the labyrinthine landscapes of interconnected Light and Dark realms, players will explore a map nearly twice the size of the original as they uncover hidden secrets and take on challenges that test both their combat skills and platforming precision. Throughout their journey, they will discover orbs and power-ups to grow their powers and unlock abilities that provide new ways to push deeper into the Kingdom, all while taking on the formidable bosses that stand in their way.

Players can begin their journey to the Kingdom of Lumen from today across all platforms! Those starting their adventure digitally on PC (via Steam®) or PlayStation® 5 will be able to secure 20% off on their purchase for two weeks from launch.

Aggelos 2 is an explosive action-platformer where lightning-fast combat, precision platforming, and two opposing worlds collide. As an Aggelos, the highest order of angels, you are chosen by Balro to venture through the Kingdom of Lumen, domain of the supreme God of Light.
