Osaka, Japan – SNK Corporation today unveiled METAL SLUG ULTIMATE COLLECTION, a compilation title celebrating the 30th anniversary of renowned run-and-gun franchise Metal Slug. The collection brings together memorable titles from across the series’ history, and is slated for a 2027 release. It will be available on Nintendo Switch™, Nintendo Switch™2, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

Packed with numerous features that allow players to fully experience the series’ appeal, this title is designed to be enjoyed by a wide audience, from a new generation of players to longtime fans.

SNK is rolling out special community-focused missions to commemorate 30 years of run-and-gun action.

METAL SLUG 30th ANNIVERSARY: MISSION START! AR Frame

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Metal Slug, we’re releasing an exclusive AR frame. By taking photos with this AR frame, you can enjoy everyday scenes through the lens of the Metal Slug universe. You can also post the photos you take on social media.

METAL SLUG 30th ANNIVERSARY: MISSION START! Mosaic Art

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Metal Slug, we are calling for photos and illustrations from fans around the world. This community project will use each submitted work as a single “dot” on a collective canvas to create a 30th anniversary mosaic art piece.

Entries can be submitted by posting on X with the hashtag “#GLOBAL_PIXEL_MOSAIC_PROJECT” or via the special website. Three winners will be selected at random from among all entrants to receive a 30th anniversary T-shirt.
