Swansea, UK (10/09/26) Curveball Games and Top Hat Studios, Inc are excited to partner once more to bring the highly acclaimed (Metascore averaging 82) and charming mystery adventure, Under the Island to retail! Created by Slime King Games and with art by former art director of Daedalic Entertainment Simone Grünewald, Under The Island boats a stunning world to explore, now in physical form.

Coming to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch on October 9th, 2026. Under the Island will release for £24.99/$29.99 on PlayStation 5 and £29.99/$34.99 on Nintendo Switch!

In this Zeldalike inspired journey, Under the Island sees you embark on a 2D action-adventure, steeped in 90s charm as you battle monsters, solve puzzles and explore a world alive with mystery.

As Nia, a newcomer to Seashell Island, you’ll uncover a sinking mystery as you join forces with local girl Avocado, where the whole island seems destined to sink beneath the ocean.

In a classic, top-down adventure style, designed in vibrant pixel art, you’ll explore hidden secrets and face a range of dangerous foes across six diverse, interconnected biomes, from an eerie sentient greenhouse to frozen caverns.

Befriend animals, use artefacts, and unlock new abilities to turn the tide in your adventures as you face off against vomiting eggplants and tunnelling wolves.
