Press release:
Monday, 14th September, 2026 – team17 has today announced physics based 1-4 player co-op puzzle game What Goes Up, and co-op metroidvania Greak 2: Alliance of the Storms will be heading to Tokyo Game Show next week with playable demos available on the show floor with Kakehashi in Hall 2, booth number 02-C18.

Available for hands on for the very first time, What Goes Up will have two demo stations available on the show floor to allow for both singleplayer and multiplayer trash tower fun. With five full levels on offer, players will experience the joy of building their own perfectly precarious trash tower while they dodge slow moving lava and meteor showers, and can even customise their character with a selection of GALACTIC REFUSE CO. rewards.

About What Goes Up

Coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 later this year, What Goes Up is a 1-4 player co-op puzzle game that sees players employed by GALACTIC REFUSE CO, the galaxy’s most ambitious provider of high-risk junk removal solutions. They are tasked with scouring planets in search of Earth’s finest discarded garbage, cleaning up the mess they find, and then turning it into titanic towers of trash.

The Greak 2: Alliance of the Storms TGS demo will allow attendees to get hands-on with 10 minutes of the hand-drawn adventure, taking control of the siblings (co-op or singleplayer) as they navigate through parallel dimensions solving puzzles together in a race to save a legendary species from extinction.

About Greak 2: Alliance of the Storms

Launching in 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, co-op metroidvania Greak 2: Alliance of the Storms is the stunning hand-drawn sequel to multi-award winning Greak: Memories of Azur. Players join siblings Greak and Adara once again as they work together to navigate a hostile new land, explore interconnected worlds, and overcome magic-infused, straw-made creatures.

Both games are available to play on the showfloor, but for any press in attendance that would like to book in a specific timeslot to play, please email [email protected] with your availability.
