Press release:
Wiesbaden, Germany – September 17th: publisher Assemble Entertainment, together with solo German developer Mateo Covic (also known as Zoroarts), is delighted to announce that the Nintendo Switch version of Paddle Paddle Paddle will be released on September 17th (4.99€).

Paddle Paddle Paddle is a remarkable, some say amazing, successful release in 2025 with sales in excess of 287,000 on PC (Steam). The title is based on a simple idea, with even simpler mechanics and challenges; it was one of the addictive games that had players coming back for more. It was frustrating, predictable, but oh so moreish! With this release, the Nintendo Switch is a perfect fit for Paddle Paddle Paddle, especially with the adapted touch controls, a fantastic addition!

Formula – Essence of Success!

Available in multiple languages, Paddle Paddle Paddle’s gameplay is intuitive, requiring little explanation. Its universal appeal made it easy for people around the world to enjoy, and while friendship and rage games were already popular, Paddle Paddle Paddle offered something slightly different. Its simple, chaotic fun quickly resonated with a global audience, sparking a huge wave of YouTube videos and livestreams.

The only way to best describe this PC hit title, which will captivate Switch owners, is a humorous descriptive summary!

Fun, Humour and Headbanging frustration!

Paddle Paddle Paddle is a bonkers, muscle-flexing, controller-gripping, wildly speedy, non-stop action adventure! Grab your paddle, hold on tight, and prepare to hurtle down a river that clearly hasn’t had its safety inspection. Rules, what rules?… just keep on going to the end!

Dodge bad, naughty, and downright rude obstacles, snatch up goodies, and somehow guide yourself over mysterious speed blankets as you whizz, wobble, and wildly paddle your way downstream. Blink, and you’ll probably crash into something!

Getting wet, ready to give up? No Way!!!

The Nitty Gritty!

Experience physics-based paddling that’s almost like real life, together with almost total frustration – your palms sweating and your face going red – you will feel real achievement if you complete the run! But can you do it again? Play locally or online in co-op mode and destroy friendships; no fighting or bad language is the order of the day! Challenge yourself with the speedrun timer if you truly want to see how bad or good you really are! Explore one giant handcrafted level filled with wacky biomes and optional checkpoints, which can be toggled in the settings menu.

If it’s perfect, why Switch?

Mateo Covic – “The Game will stay true to its PC counterpart with the ‘One button’- gameplay (for each player). And will feel no different than when playing on PC. Although the game has been greatly improved to run more fluidly, these changes have also been brought back to the PC version. So a lot of optimizing has been done. Why has it been so successful, you may enquire…? Well, it has resonated with people all around the world, and everyone seemed to love the simple, chaotic fun it offers. I’ve never watched so many YouTube videos and livestreams as I did when my game was released.”
