Press release:
PQube (London, UK) – December 4th, 2019 – Today, PQube and Indonesian developer Studio Namaapa reveal a Gameplay Walkthrough and the release date for “Ciel Fledge – A Daughter Raising Simulator“. Players worldwide will be able to adopt their own daughter in this unique and wholesome sim on February 21st, 2020 for Nintendo Switch and PC/Steam.

1. Home, Sweet Home

Your lovely flat on ARK-3 is your daughter’s new home and the place where you interact with each other.

Here you can chat with her about how she feels or how it goes with her friends, customise her outfits, check current stats, traits or relationships, save the game and set up the schedule for upcoming week!

Dominik’s Note: Playing around with different outfits is a lot of fun, but my daughter usually ended up wearing a stylish dress/jacket combo like Marnie from the new Pokémon!

2. The Schedule

The schedule is the backbone of Ciel Fledge and defines the activities of the upcoming week for both your daughter and yourself. Activities for her can be classes, like art or arithmetics, hobbies like gymnastics, meeting friends or simply rest.

Since you need to bring home the bacon (or whatever they prefer in the year 3716), your choices are limited to the amount you will work this week in comparison to how much time you spend with your girl.

All of this affects your daughter’s mood, how much money you have available and – ultimately – who she becomes as a person.

Dominik’s Note: I am a big fan of the 4-day work week concept, so my daughter has Wednesdays off in addition to Saturdays and Sundays. This has a negative effect on her discipline, so I signed her up for several sports classes and try to spend extra time with her whenever the budget allows!

3. Encounters

Once the schedule is set, you can sit back and watch as the week unfolds. Depending on her activities, she can run into a wide variety of encounters with a colourful cast of characters, that all grow and change with your daughter over the years.

Dominik’s Note: The random encounters were a bit scary at first, because you immediately start caring for your digital daughter and can’t control what influence they will have on her! Most people she met so far were pretty cool, though, and I guess it’s part of the experience!

4. Challenges

The challenges your daughter faces – be it a test at school or battling an alien – are fought out in deck-based match-3 minigames. Customise your deck and keep track of which cards you combine to attack, defend, support and power a wide selection of special moves!

Dominik’s Note: Since I played loads of card games in the past – even competitively for a while – I have a good feeling of which cards are left in a deck and therefore found the minigames relatively easy! However, don’t underestimate the challenges and always remember to use all the tools available to you!

Ciel Fledge: A Daughter Raising Simulator will be available worldwide on February 21st, 2020 for Nintendo Switch and PC on Steam.
