Press release:
Today, on April 20th, the prologue for Dieselpunk Wars – a game, in which you can build complex war machines and set them off to battle – launches on Steam for free. The game is published by Image Power S.A.

Dieselpunk Wars Prologue available on Steam for free!
After a successful Kickstarter campaign, Image Power decided to speed up the release of the free Prologue, which as originally scheduled together with the full game.

Based on community feedback, the user interface in Dieselpunk Wars Prologue has been radically improved. It is now more legible (e.g. new categories of parts were added, a few control panels got hidden, main menu was refreshed), so collecting components and building machines got easier and smoother.

The free Prologue mode will become available for download on April 20th, on the game’s Steam page. For players who supported the game on Kickstarter, it should download automatically, after they log into their Steam accounts. The developers recommend to download and check out the prologue, as it will include in-game progress and achievements, which were not available in the Kickstarter demo.

Machine wars with destruction simulation
Dieselpunk Wars is a game about creating unusual vehicles and putting them into battles. Players will be able to create their own unique machines using as many as 270 different elements. The pool of available parts will be expanding as players progress through the missions.

Thanks to realistic physics and the possibility of destroying buildings, they will be able to use entire environment to their advantage. The game’s engine can track every single missile, calculate its trajectory and even destroy it with a ricochet, if it hits the machine’s armor at the right angle. Vehicles can be cut in half, set on fire, flooded or crushed. It all depends on the players’ creativity!
