Madrid, July 9th. – Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain (SIE Spain) and Bound Games are happy to reveal new details about “Skapp“, a PS4™ exclusive title developed as part of the PlayStation®Talents initiative.

Skapp is a skating game like no other: thanks to a companion app for smartphones, players will be able to turn their devices into skateboards! Flick your smartphone around to perform Ollies, Kickflips, shove-its…

imagination is your only limit! Skapp will be released later this year as a PS4™-exclusive digital-only title. The release date will be confirmed soon.

Bound Games has released a new video explaining Skapp’s unique features. Though it may look like Skapp is just a game made for freely roaming through the environment performing all kinds of tricks on a skateboard, it will also feature different modes, including a single-player story mode, narrated through a comic book in which people’s hands rebel against humanity.

The Bound Games team wanted Skapp to be either a tribute to classic skateboarding games such as Skate or the Tony Hawk series but also bring something fresh to the table. “Thanks to a companion app and the gyroscopes and accelerometers on smartphones we are able to recreate on your cell phone every move that can be done on a real skateboard”, explains the team at the Valencia Games Camp of the PlayStation®Talents project.
