Press release:
Youthcat Games, an indie game developers based in Chongqing, China, has officially announced their sci-fi simulation game “Dyson Sphere Program” (the game is coming to PC via Steam in 2021).
Obviously, Dyson Sphere Program is a hard science-fiction game. The concept of the Dyson sphere was the result of a thought experiment by physicist and mathematician Freeman Dyson. It appears in many sci-fi games such like Stellaris, this time you can build it from scratch by yourself.
Although a decent knowledge base will help you in some ways, Dyson Sphere Program is easy to learn for all the players. In each run, you need to find a suitable planet in the system generated universe, collecting resources, plan and design production lines, gradually create a full automated factory.
Compared with other famous automation game such as Factorio and Satisfactory, in Dyson Sphere Program you will not only be able to build your production line in one planet. You can form your own interstellar transport team, transport materials between planets, gather recourses from the entire universe to build your Dyson Sphere.
Also you can see various planets and celestial phenomena in the boundless universe, such as neutron stars, white dwarfs, red giants and black holes. And they will really bring change to the game. For example, you can build a solar base works constantly on a planet never has night.
Considering the late game performance issues of this genre, the developers said that they will try their best to do optimization. Even if there are full of your production bases in the galaxy, the game will run well.
More information of Dyson Sphere Program is coming on September 25th. The publisher Gamera Game will hold a special online event on Tokyo Game Show live streaming. The voice actor of MOSS, the artificial intelligence in Chinese science fiction film The Wandering Earth, will play a special role on the event.
