Press release:
21 SEPTEMBER 2020 – Thunderbox Entertainment’s much lauded digital adaptation of tabletop favourite, “Tsuro: The Game of the Path“, will be releasing on Oculus Quest devices next month.

Launching on October 23rd, Tsuro follows an award-winning release on mobile, frequently found on Apple’s App of the Day spot.

Thunderbox’s game, an adaptation of one of the most beloved and accessible tabletop games ever made, is an exquisite cross-platform experience in which up to 8 players take turns to create paths across the board, each trying to stay on it longer than their opponents.

Touch Arcade called Tsuro’s mobile version “a shot of Zen relaxation”, and with the VR edition, Thunderbox aims to push this even further, offering players a gorgeous Japanese garden to immerse themselves in while they play the game on a gigantic, stone board.

Not simply a beautiful setting in which to play, Tsuro’s relaxing environment is a holiday for the mind, offering a peaceful retreat with many hidden secrets to explore.

Tsuro has already delighted players on Oculus’ Go and Rift headsets, but with the impending launch on Oculus Quest and the recently revealed Quest 2, the game will be accessible to more virtual reality players than ever before.

A completely cross-platform experience, Tsuro allows players to face opponents who are using Oculus Quest, Go or Rift headsets, the mobile version of the game, or the new, remastered PC version, which releases at the same time on Steam.

Tsuro: The Game of the Path will be launching for Oculus Quest on the 23rd October, priced at £7.99/$9.99. Players will be able to purchase the game directly through the Oculus store.

About Tsuro VR
Relax in a serene temple garden, and enjoy a blissful game of simple strategy, based on the award-winning board game. Create your own journey with Tsuro: The Game of the Path.

Place a tile and slide your stone along the path created, but take care: other players’ paths can lead you in the wrong direction – or off the board entirely!

Paths will cross and connect, and the choices you make affect all the journeys across the board.

About Thunderbox Entertainment
Thunderbox Entertainment is a small team of seasoned developers who love board games. We’ve made it our mission to search out the best board games in the world, and transport them from table-top to VR and mobile.

What we do is a bit like the scene in Tron where Jeff Bridges gets zapped into a computer… but with less laser pain and more board game fun!
