Press release:
NEW YORK CITY — September 24, 2020 — “Starstruck: Hands of Time“, the genre-defying diorama musical where two kids and a giant hand race to rewrite history, will launch on PlayStation 4 in 2021 alongside the Steam for PC release.

As the future hangs in the balance, two youngsters unknowingly stand at a crossroads. Edwin, starry-eyed and bright, carries his acoustic guitar everywhere and longs for the cheers and applause his friend Dawn receives from her own concerts. For Dawn, the crowds mean nothing next to what her electric guitar offers: an escape from her overbearing mother and the weight of expectation.

Little do they know, a mysterious force called “The Mold” is about to manifest and corrupt life as they know it. And it’s up a moon colonist from the year 30XX, when all of planet Earth is consumed by The Mold, to help them stop it.

As the moon colonist, reach down into Edwin and Dawn’s charming world—literally!—with your giant, disembodied, time-traveling hand. Alter the course of history by opening new pathways for the teens and leaving your destructive mark on their charming small town. Smash obstacles, solve puzzles, and romp through a diorama styled world, guiding the two toward a new destiny: saving the world!

Throughout the time-twisting story, take up the guitar as Edwin and Dawn. Jam through an original soundtrack with dozens of songs featuring prog rock, metal, pop ballads, and more in thrilling rhythm sections. Chase higher scores in Free Play mode, featuring exclusive songs like a brand-new remix of “King of the World,” by its original composer, from fan-made hit Cognitive Dissonance. On PC, plug in the iconic Guitar Hero II RedOctane X-Plorer Controller to truly rock out, and add your favorite tracks to Free Play mode with mod support.

“No matter who you are or how you like to play, everyone should be able to experience the magic of music,” said Max Ponoroff, founder of Createdelic.

“Starstruck: Hands of Time may be about two kids, a time-traveling hand, and a chatty ship computer, but more importantly, players can explore at their own pace, self-express with improv sections throughout the game, and make music by their own rules, breaking the mold.”

Selected as an IndieCade 2020 festival nominee and exhibiting this week at Tokyo Game Show 2020, Starstruck: Hands of Time will launch in 2021 with both Japanese and Korean text localization. The Japanese localization comes courtesy of Ryu Ito, known for localizing AAA and indie titles like Half-Life: Alyx, Streets of Rage 4, Dead Cells, and Hollow Knight. Free Steam demo Starstruck: Prologue, recently updated with new playable songs and Free Play mode, will receive an update to support these languages before launch.

Starstruck: Hands of Time launches in 2021 on PlayStation 4 and Steam for PC. Enjoy the opening act with the free Starstruck: Prologue on Steam for PC, available now. Go backstage with developer Createdelic and get updates on the official website, Twitter, and Discord.
