The indie games developers Okomotive and games publishers Mixtvision are today very excited and proud to announce that their atmospheric vehicle adventure game “FAR: Lone Sails” is coming to iOS and Android on October 22nd, 2020.

The compact exploration game FAR: Lone Sails takes players on a unique journey through a grim, but fascinating world. The atmospheric vehicle adventure arrives on mobile platforms on October 22.

Imagine being the last person on earth. Everyone you used to know left to follow the receding waters of the ocean. You’re lonely, but loneliness isn’t your only companion: a remarkable giant vessel, that looks like a makeshift hybrid of ship and train, is waiting for you to go on board, prepared to offer you a means of transport and to shelter you from harsh weather.

Without your machine, all hope of finding answers would be lost. Its steaming, pounding, puffing guts need to be soothed and fed to keep going, when you venture out on the tracks of a once flourishing civilization. The only way to go is forward – there may still be something out there that is worth taking the risks of travelling through unknown grounds. Where will this journey take you? What will you find?

FAR: Lone Sails is a condensed gaming experience that leaves a lasting impression. The debut game by Swiss studio Okomotive is more about the journey than the destination: Travel into the unknown, be curious, hang onto hope – but don’t forget to take care of your vehicle, which serves as your home on the road.

You need to manage your fuel supplies, your vehicle’s condition, and find your way through obstacles of all sorts in this adventure, that makes for a full-evening of entertainment. While these tasks may demand your full attention, they alternate with moments of serene tranquility: putting the vehicle’s sails into the wind and gliding through the spacious world accompanied by orchestral tunes, passing by the imposing environments.

Now players can take their unique mobile home with them on their mobile devices: FAR: Lone Sails will be out on the App Store and on Google Play on October 22, 2020. Base price is $3.99 / €4.99, the expected download size is 630 MB.
