Press release:
The Sweden-based indie games developer Megagon Industries and indie games publisher Thunderful Publishing today announced that they have just released their Daily Rides season 6 (“Flower Power!”) DLC for “Lonely Mountains: Downhill”.

That’s right! Because  starting today, Season 6 of the Daily Rides challenges for their alpine adventure “Lonely Mountains: Downhill” is travelling back to the Swinging Sixties in the most far out update yet, man.

Flower Power brings the psychedelic floral patterns of the summer of love to the game, truly making you one with nature. Lonely Mountains: Downhill and the Eldfjall Island DLC pack are available now on Nintendo Switch™, Xbox One, PlayStation®4 and PC (Steam®).

Players wanting to feel the good vibrations of the mountain trails will be totally stoked to see all the funky outfits and accessories that they can unlock by completing Season 6’s trials:

Party like it’s 1969 with the Woodstock outfit.
Experience being the legendary headline act with the Jimmy outfit.
Don your flared dungarees and chillax with the Groove outfit.
Spread the love with the Flower Power paint job, giving your bike a funky basket filled with a bouquet and flowers wrapped around your frame.
Two backpacks can be unlocked too! Make love not war with the Peacebag or get in the hippie spirit with the flower Garland – right on, man

That’s not all though! For the first time ever, select trails from the Eldfjall Island DLC will be added to the rotation of Daily Ride challenges. Whether you have the DLC installed or not, these challenges will be available, giving you a taste of the volcanic wonders that await players in Eldfjall Island! For the upcoming season players can play a trail from the Eldfjall Island DLC for free each Sunday as part of the game’s Daily Ride feature.

Daily Rides is a cross-platform daily leaderboard competition. Each day a trail will be selected randomly, complete with new obstacles and shortcuts. The 8 week season offers up a new theme with unlockable cosmetic rewards for participants. Do you have what it takes to dominate the season? Get riding and see if you can rise to the top of the leaderboard!

Keep an eye out on our Twitter and Facebook pages to stay up-to-date on all the latest straight from the mountain peaks and also check out the Thunderful news page for more on all games from us.

Lonely Mountains: Downhill was initially released on October 23rd in 2019. During its first year, the game has been a hit amongst players and critics alike; resulting in more than one million players (1.2 million as of September 2020). The game won awards such as “Best Indie Game” at the German Developer Awards and “Best International Indie Game” at Poznan Game Arena.

For any players wanting more (virtual) outdoor biking action, the Eldfjall Island DLC comes complete with brand-new challenges for each of its four trails. Players will be able to unlock new outfits, paint jobs, and accessories. You can either take your time enjoying the scenery or race down the mountain as quickly as possible to climb up the leaderboards. Additionally, new weather and environmental effects will make the journey even more intense than ever before with thunderstorms and an active volcano!

Lonely Mountains: Downhill and the Eldfjall Island DLC are both available now for Nintendo Switch™, Xbox One, PlayStation®4 and PC (Steam®). A demo for Lonely Mountains: Downhill is available on Nintendo Switch™ and Steam®, so if you are on the fence, download it and head down the first trail of the Sierra Rivera mountain.
