Enzo Cucchi (an Italian painter) and the Italy-based indie games studio Fantastico Studio, are today very happy and excited to announce that their -themed adventure/exploration game “Cuccchi” is coming to PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and the Nintendo Switch on July 30th, 2021.
Created by Fantastico Studio and Julian Palacios of the Eremo collective, the game CUCCCHI is a dreamlike journey through the artist’s imagination.
Enzo Cucchi, an undisputed master of the international art scene, quite distant from any technological charm, has chosen an original way to make his art available: a “gamified archive”, with all the information of interest to collectors, scholars, gallery owners, etc., but expressed in a language and method close to the new generations.
His works are held in numerous museum collections including Tate Gallery, Museum of Modern Art, Centre Georges Pompidou, Louvre, Chicago Art Institute.
In the game, players will cross 7 areas drawn from the artist’s works that take life and motion in three-dimensional spaces populated by the fantastic characters that are typical of Enzo Cucchi’s work. Players must explore the areas in search of objects to collect, avoiding evil entities and other dangers.
Find your way through 7 unique areas and collect 51 hidden objects to unlock an archive gallery displaying the different artworks that inspired the visuals for the game.
Cuccchi is the first artist archive created in the form of a video game.
