Press release:
“Aeterna Noctis”, the 2D Metroidvania developed by Aeternum Game Studios that has achieved great sales success since its launch last December on PC, Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5, is now available on Xbox One via the Microsoft Store for 29.99 / $ 29.99.

The first features that the dev team has highlighted are the technical and playable virtues of this Xbox One version. The optimization work has been meticulous, ensuring that the qualitative differences with the Aeterna Noctis port launched on new generation systems are minimal, which allows users of the previous Microsoft console to enjoy a smooth and stable gaming experience, very similar to Xbox Series X | S.

“In terms of performance and frame rate, the two versions are almost identical, so Xbox One players will be able to enjoy Aeterna Noctis in all its glory,” said by Aeternum Game Studios.

The Xbox One version also includes all the playable and graphic improvements that the developers have been incorporating since December through constant updates.

Thanks to community feedback, the studio introduced a new game mode, allowing users to choose between Aeterna mode, with redesigned platforms and puzzles to ensure a more accessible experience focused on action and exploration, or the Noctis mode, the original one that offers a challenge only suitable for the most experienced players. This feature allows Xbox One to enjoy Aeterna Noctis, also being able to switch between one mode or another at any time from the options menu.

Another update developed thanks to the feedback received after the launch was the improvement in the control of movements and jumps of the King of Darkness, the main character of the adventure. This allows players to activate the “smooth controls” option, which increases the reaction speed of the character in the air, in addition to increasing the window of jump when hitting the ground. Without a doubt, another proof of the appreciation that the developers of Aeterna Noctis have towards their community when it comes to improving their product and creating a more satisfying game experience.

Aeterna Noctis is unstoppable. Xbox One players now join PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S users in an adventure that will be an undisputed worldwide classic of the Metroidvania genre. The developer studio has ensured that the port for PlayStation 4 will be imminent, in addition to continuing to work on the Nintendo Switch version, whose launch date is scheduled for a few months.
