The Finland-based indie games developer Cornfox & Brothers today announced with great pride and joy that they have just released version 3.0 (“Arcadian Tarock”) of “Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm”, the smash hit Action RPG prequel to “Oceanhorn: Monsters of Uncharted Seas”.

Version 3.0, the Arcadian Tarock Update, is available today only on Apple Arcade for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV.

“Back in 2014, Oceanhorn: Monsters of Uncharted Seas’ Fishing mini-game was received very warmly. Since then, we have been thinking about what kind of immersive mini-game we’d like to add to Oceanhorn 2,” said Heikki Repo, Creative Director of Cornfox & Brothers.

“The main game itself was such an undertaking that we had to put all ideas on hold for a while. But today, I’m happy to introduce Arcadian Tarock! Like the Fishing mini-game, Arcadian Tarock is built as part of the adventure itself. I hope our players will have fun as they collect the full deck and that the lore included with the cards can provide our true fans with new insights as they crack the story behind the Oceanhorn universe.”

The new update adds Arcadian Tarock, a brand new collectible card game embedded within Oceanhorn 2, and the possibility to challenge almost any NPC in the game.

With 50 cards to collect, special abilities to unlock, different levels of mastery to beat, new card-related quests, and new lore to uncover, the Arcadian Tarock update adds several hours of gameplay to the journey. This update also adds a new Treasure Radar functionality to the map, a polished user interface, and further refinements to combat and other core mechanics.

About Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm

Prequel to the acclaimed Oceanhorn: Monsters of Uncharted Seas, Oceanhorn 2 follows the adventures of a young Knight who sets out on a magical journey across vast regions of Gaia to defend the lands and people of Arcadia from Warlock Mesmeroth’s Dark Army.

The protagonist is joined by two other characters – Trin, the granddaughter of Arcadia’s leader Archimedes, and Gen, a mysterious robot wielding an old Samurai weapon. Players control characters with contextual commands during tactical battles and puzzle-solving.

Featuring gorgeous Zelda-esque visuals, Oceanhorn 2 offers open-world exploration, hack ‘n slash combat, a variety of puzzles and quests, and now also a collectible card game – expect 25+ hours of polished action-filled RPG adventure!
