Press release:
Gremlins of Clockwork Town, clear the table, bring the snacks and drinks: Gremlins, Inc. – Print & Play DLC, Companion Card Game, the first Print & Play DLC ever released on Steam, arrives tomorrow! Designed by the same twisted and mischievous minds that brought you Gremlins, Inc., the digital board game of strategy and malice, this Companion Card Game is as a set of 129 ready-to-print PDF cards. Set in the same universe, players will have to reach more or less the same goal (reaching a certain score by building your own projects while, hopefully, crushing and humiliating other players’ in your way) but with different game mechanics involved. There are secret and revealed projects; there are 3 types of resources; and there are ways to bluff and attack, which makes for a very hot-blooded game flow (although less random and with a faster pace than the video game).
Gremlins, Inc. – Print & Play DLC, Companion Card Game will be released tomorrow on Steam for $4.99 | €4.99 | £3.99 | 149 руб. | ¥560 | ¥23, or the equivalent in your local currency. It will be released in 5 languages (English, Chinese, French, German, and Russian). Support to other languages might be added further down the road, but is still to be confirmed.
Following Charlie Oscar DLC policy, all gameplay-related content is always released as free updates, while the DLCs are cosmetic fun stuff (new avatars, music, backgrounds, etc.) or parallel content like the Digital Artbook, the OST or this physical card game. Maybe because of that, the Gremlins, Inc. DLC make over 50% of sales of the core game across all platforms. The announcement of Gremlins, Inc. – The Card Game has stirred up the community of the game on Steam. More than 10,000 people has read the original post (where you can find more details about the origins of the card game), which also scored a record number of comments for Gremlins, Inc.
