I got some very good news to share with all you “Splatoon 2” and Esport fans out there, because Nintendo Sweden (Bergsala AB) just informed us that Europe’s best “Splatoon 2” teams are ready to fight in Paris between March 9th and 10th:
“After months of struggle, Europe’s best team in Splatoon 2 has been chased and hailed! Now is the time to see which is the best team when they meet in the European finals on March 9-10 in Paris.
Everything will be streamlined via Nintendo UK’s YouTube and Twitch for those who don’t want to miss anything. Now the only question is which team will be holding and lifting the Splatoon 2 European Championship trophy !!!
Will it be last year’s finalists, BackSquids from Germany? Or is the Finnish Ämpäri Gang with experienced team captain Sendou?
We know that British Team Mako and the French Alliance Rogue are incredibly talented and there will be tough matches. Maybe something totally unexpected law will bring home the victory?
The tournament starts on Saturday 9 March at 12:00 Swedish time with twelve teams divided into four groups with three teams in each. Every team that wins their group advances to semi-finals on Sunday starting at 13:00.
The two best teams then meet each other in a best of seven. The winning team becomes European champion and wins an incredibly nice trophy and a custom made Nintendo Switch Pro Controller with Splatoon 2 theme.
The twelve teams that compete in Paris on Saturday 9 March, starting at 13:00 to advance to the semifinals are:
The Nordic countries: Once again
UK: Team Mako
Germany: BackSquids
France: Alliance Rogue
Spain: Polarized
Italy: Ninplayers
Portugal: Hexagone
Netherlands: Polderlantis
Switzerland: Huitante
Belgium: Overtime
Austria: Team?
Russia: Red Ink
