Press release:
STOCKHOLM – June 7, 2026 – Today, during the PC Gaming Show, Swedish indie publisher Raw Fury revealed two big announcements surrounding the Cassette Beasts series and highly anticipated title, Rivage.

In partnership with UK developer Bytten Studio, Raw Fury revealed that Cassette Beasts 2002, the follow-up installment in the critically-acclaimed, creature-collecting series Cassette Beasts, is in the works and set to release on PC via Steam and Windows, Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. More details to come over the next few months.

In addition, Raw Fury and Exnilo Studio announced that sci-fi first-person puzzle game, Rivage, will launch on August 13 for PC via Steam. Fans can now mark their calendars and get ready to board the A.R.E.S. station and solve the ultimate mystery this Summer.

Cassette Beasts 2002 is a retro-inspired, creature-collector, turn-based RPG set in Nodnol, a nostalgic ode to 2000s London. Players can explore the worlds where man and beast collide to uncover an occultist’s plot and transform into over 250+ beasts. Cassette Beasts 2002 offers an exciting journey for returning fans, but also serves as a perfect entry point into the world of Cassette Beasts. Challenging battles and unique beasts await players.

Key features in Cassette Beasts 2002 include:

Deep Battle Systems – Alongside an eclectic roster of companions, seek out, record, and transform into powerful beast forms to turn the odds of battle. Prepare utility, support, and offensive attacks alongside elemental advantages to overcome even the fiercest opponent. Rogue monsters will even learn from players’ battle techniques, adapt, and return with new challenges.

Fuse Monster Forms – Record beasts encountered on the field to change forms in turn-based combat. With over 250 beasts to choose from, including evolutionary lines, there are over 50,000 beasts to fuse into, all fully animated.

Create the Perfect Team – Meet 12 different companions to befriend or romance, each with their own stories, motivations, and quests. Create even more powerful beast forms by improving bonds with companions met throughout the adventure.

Play with Friends – With robust multiplayer mechanics, players will trade cassettes, fight alongside friends in random encounters, face off in 1v1 battles with power scaling, solve an occultist mystery in story mode, and take on timed objectives for fantastic rewards!

More details about Cassette Beasts 2002 are coming soon. Keep up with the latest via Raw Fury’s official website here and X here.

Rivage invites players to take on the role of Miranda as she searches for answers about her crew’s disappearance and strives to escape a reality-bending cosmic phenomenon. Players must solve intricate puzzles to reveal the truth behind the distortions that have consumed the station.

Key features in Rivage include:

Immersive world – Step aboard the A.R.E.S. station, a meticulously detailed, fully interactable environment where every item tells a story. Examine artifacts, analyze research data, and uncover hidden notes scattered across abandoned workstations.

Captivating storytelling – The station was once home to a crew, each with their own goals, fears, and philosophies. Now, only fragments of their lives remain: journals, personal logs, and encrypted messages scattered throughout the station. Piece together their relationships, uncover the emotional toll of isolation, and experience a narrative that weaves scientific mystery with human vulnerability.

Unravel the mystery – Every puzzle in Rivage is woven into the fabric of the story. Repair broken systems, realign malfunctioning mechanisms, and solve environmental challenges that play with gravity, magnetism, and the very flow of time.

The K9 system – With the K9 System, Miranda can log discoveries and retain certain puzzle solutions, allowing players to focus on what truly matters: uncovering the truth behind the distortions that have consumed the station.
