Things has been rather crazy today. At least for me (on more than one level). It´s Friday the 13th, Valentines day has already pre-started (it´s tomorrow). And on top of that, Brianna Wu has once again sparked a lot of controversy via social media. For starter, miss Wu wants to put Fredrick Brennan Aka “Hotwheels” (owner and funder of 8chan) behind bars.
At least that´s what miss Wu told the site “bustle”. As she plans to call the Obama administration on “Hotwheels”.
Why? Because Miss Wu thinks 8chan is nothing more than a webpage full of child pornography, doxxing people and evil. I´m not 100% sure about how the laws in America works, so i don´t know if “Hotwheels” could be charged for any of these accusations. But it seems like Miss Wu is dead serious about taking “Hotwheels” to court.
And “if” there would be any charges against “Hotwheels”, i think that it would be the kind of court thing that get´s a lot of media focus and air time. Because i have never heard about any similar court case before.
I´m also quite curious to know what kind of jail time one could get for these “crimes” that miss Wu pointed out?
But Wu didn´t stop there, nope. She was also really mad at Ethan James Petty. Which would be the writer of Ubisoft´s game “Watch Dogs“. Because according to miss Wu, Ethan doesn´t think that #GamerGate is a hate group.
Thus, Miss Wu insisted that Ubisoft should have a little chat with her about it. So, yeah, Brianna has really been at it lately. In fact, it´s hard to keep up with all the things she does and says…
But what do you guys think about all of this? Should “Hotwheels” be put in jail, and should Ubisoft lecture Ethan James Petty?
