Even though this week has just begun, it´s already full of controversy and angry rants (you do remember my previous article about Anita Sarkeesian right?).
This time it´s the rumors about Lucky Chloe being a EU and Asia ONLY exclusive character for Tekken 7.
According to the rumors Bandai Namco Games had to remove Lucky Chloe from the US version of Tekken 7 due to complaints (thus the whole deal with the “#GamerGate Vs Censorship” rants yesterday).
Apparently, the complaints started on a thread on the bulletin board at NeoGaf (something which Bandai Namco Games took notice to).
And that´s probably why Katsuhiro Harada (producer and director for Tekken 7) has been under heavy fire from both fans (and media) lately.
From what i´ve heard, Lucky Chloe is a reference to japanese pop-culture (in short, a tribute to Japanese pop-culture).
Here´s the funny thing though. Lucky Chloe is not a native Japanese female, she´s from another country (she´s a Japanese culture freak, and she has a “big” secret” according to Katsuhiro Harada).
Not that it would change anything in terms of excluding her ( Lucky Chloe) from Tekken 7 in America though.
And that seems to be the final say on this subject at this time. However, it´s all said that instead of Lucky Chloe, the American players will get their own exclusive character instead of her.
A character which Katsuhiro Harada described as “Looks well-muscled, Skin-head, Very powerful attack”.
One might ask him/herself the following question though. Is it really such a big loss to miss out on Lucky Chloe in Tekken 7? Because some Tekken players dosen´t even seem to like her all that much.
So, what do you guys think of all this? It would be awesome to hear what you American Tekken players think about this.
