I was just informed by Kiro’o Games that their 2D African Fantasy Action-RPG Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan (which launched on Steam in April this year) will become a full-blown movie in Hollywood. Furthermore, there will be a mobile release of Aurion as well:
“Hello The Gaming Ground Team,
I am Sorelle, in charge of PR to Kiro’o Games. I hope you are fine, your activities too. Thanks once more for all your publications on Aurion.
Now our game just gets on rail to become a movie at Hollywood, as you can see here: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/aurion-legacy-kori-odan-gets-937015
Kiro’o Games is in Partnership with Big Fear Film (Mulan of Disney in Live Action) to make it happens and we are very happy to get this opportunity so soon for our game. What triggered the interest of Big Fear film was of course the original context of the game (African Fantasy), but mainly the depth of the writing and good reviews analysis about the story made them feel the game has a real potential for a good movie or more. When we were creating the game in 2014, we were really cautious about the “coherence” of our universe, and the writing around the characters because we wanted to be ready for an adaptation.
On the other hand, Kiro’o is working to conquer the African Mobile Market (350 millions of smarthpones at the end of 2017) and Aurion will be available on Mobile soon with some others games from the Kiro’o Tales world. Of course, we will keep you informed about our evolution. We hope that this news about the movie will get your editorial attention. Thanks.” – Sorelle Kamdom, Kiro’o Games
So if you´re a fan of Aurion, then you have a lot of things to be looking forward to =) As for here and now though, you can watch the latest Aurion down below.
