I don’t know if you guys and girls remember the Wii RPG game “Xenoblade Chronicles” (the game got released back in 2011), but I for one still remember that game. You see, “Xenoblade Chronicles” were my very first RPG title for the Wii console. That’s also why I got quite excited when Nintendo Sweden (Bergsala AB) informed me that Nintendo has just released some new information about “Xenoblade Chronicles 2” (the game is said to launch for the Nintendo Switch on the 1st of December), and here’s the said information which they shared with us:

“In just a few weeks, Nintendo Switch owners will leave the family behind and head off to the amazing world of Alrest, a world full of the living creatures Titans and the mythical paradise Elysium. In order to prepare all fans for the launch of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on December 1, Nintendo has presented an in-depth review of the various game features, as well as the great environments, the combat system and the characters. This special Nintendo Direct also revealed upcoming DLC, a collaboration with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and a free DLC on release date that lets players play with Japanese numbers and English subtitles. Already now, the new voice option can be listened to through the brand new trailer that can be viewed on Youtube.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is the sequel to the RPG game released to Wii 2011. This sequel contains new characters and worlds, with an enhanced combat system, yet recognizable by those who played the first game in the series.

In Xenoblade Chronicles 2 there are Blades, an artificial way of life that can lend its weapons and powers to Drivers. The main character Rex is a Driver and Pyra is a Blade. In order for players to get acquainted with Rex before the game is released, a special page assignment will be released to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild where Link will be able to get Rex clothes. This will be done both in the Nintendo Switch and Wii U version starting 9 November.

Both inside and outside the heat of battle, Blades will have a supporting function. While the adventure is in progress, these abilities will be able to increase the proportion of objects that can be found, open up new ways to explore or launch other special effects.

When a player battles with a blade, this can protect the drive, boost an attack and so on. The powers differ between different blades so to choose the right blade adds another strategic layer to the battle. Blades are one of many lifestyles that you will meet during the course of the adventure. In the great world called Alrest, you will discover both peaceful and slightly more aggressive forms of life. You will find them in many different sizes and shapes in many different environments. Embark on large plains, windy caves, frozen kingdoms, burnt soils and sandy beaches.

Also fight against so-called unique beasts. If you defeat such a gravestone will be placed where the battle took place. If you visit the site again, you can go to the tombstone and revive the fallen bee again if you want to try to defeat it again and get additional rewards.

While traveling in Alrest, which is an incredibly vast world, you will run into shining places called Collection Points. These places are places where you can find valuable items, dive under the clouds to get unique treasures or to transport you faster as you can teleport yourself to such places. Alrest also has well-populated cities where you can shop for things or meet residents.

Players who want even more magnificent adventures in this magical world can buy an Expansion Pass. Then you get all downloadable extra content that is released between game release and autumn 2018. In the beginning, more missions and items are released, later a Battle Mode and a new adventure with new action released in Elysium will be released. More details on this will come a little further.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is released exclusively to Nintendo Switch on December 1st. The same day, Nintendo Switch Pro Controller is also launching: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Edition and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Collector’s Edition. The collector edition includes the game, a CD of music from the game, a metal box for the game and an incredibly stylish 220-page art book filled with illustrations of the characters, landscapes and gadgets of the game.” Nintendo Sweden

Nice indeed =) Furthermore, Nintendo hosted a stream for “Xenoblade Chronicles 2” via Nintendo Direct just one hour ago (I have added the Youtube video down below). So don’t forget to check that one out as well.

And with that said, what’s your take on “Xenoblade Chronicles 2” so far? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
