Press release:
Kraków, Poland (June 12th, 2026) – Order up! Don’t Let It Starve— our horror roguelite bento-builder from hell— is now being served piping hot on Steam for $7.99. (And with a 15% launch discount!) Developed by Eduardo Scarpato and published by Black Lantern Collective, Don’t Let It Starve crosses CloverPit with the Tetris-esque Resident Evil 4 inventory system, pushing you to think on your feet to fill in each plate without leaving any gaps.

In Don’t Let It Starve you build bentos to satiate a chef monster living in the vents, amassing items and modifiers along the way to try and meet your captor’s appetite for fine dining. Flip, rotate, and place differently-shaped foods to create combos. Get bonuses for combining complementary ingredients, and fill every slot on your plate to dish out the highest-scoring, most satisfying meals. If you manage to survive the round, you’ll earn coins to purchase new items that build up multipliers, manipulate your luck, and create powerful synergies.

Each run forces you to adapt: new items, new challenges, and new ways to play the odds. The chef promises the key to an escape hatch if you can satiate its unending hunger, but getting there won’t be easy; you’ll have to master every tool at your disposal if you mean to survive. If you prove unworthy, well, bentos aren’t the only thing on the menu…

Live or die, the nightmare doesn’t end there. Unlock new tools, challenges, and modifiers as you play that provide entirely new approaches and scenarios. Four difficulty modes layer on top of each other to introduce strange new bento shapes, raised score quotas, a ticking clock, and more.

Key Features:

Bento Building Action!: We all love the Resident Evil 4 inventory system; now do it with meats, grains, and vegetables.

Master Your Tools: It’ll take more than just fitting food on a grid to win. Earn 120+ unique items and create deadly-efficient synergies.

Meaningful Challenges: Unlock new challenges and modifiers that fundamentally change the game. How will you adapt when you’ve got 30 seconds on the clock, and your bento isn’t a square?
