***RUMOR***
As you might remember I got quite excited when I heard the rumor about Obsidian and a potential “Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines” sequal (which I did back in March this year). However, sadly enough, that rumor turned out to be false. As Paradox and Obsidian announced another game instead (“Tyranny“). Even so, there is still some hope though. As Paradox “might” have plans for a “Bloodlines” sequel after all. You see. Just recently Paradox published a brand-new online survey where they asked if they have played “Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines”. And not only that, Paradox also asked if the original game has a “strong sense of nostalgia.” (I guess that Paradox wants to check if there is still a hunger and a market for a new “Bloodlines” game?). And as you might already know, Paradox acquired White Wolf (the “Vampire: The Masquerade” IP owner) back in October last year.
Furthermore, since there was a recent trademark filing for “Vampire Bloodlines,” by White Wolf (which they did back in May last year) fans have been speculating about if that could mean that White Wolf is working on a new game that´s set in the “World of Darkness” universe (White Wolf won´t comment on that matter, at least not for now). In other words, there “might” be some hope for a Bloodlines sequel after all. And I truly hope so, as I still enjoy the original game.
So what do you guys and girls think about all of this? And would you like to see a new “Bloodlines” game? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
