Press release:
Gaijin Entertainment announces the winners of the first monthly EdenSpark Game Jam, the opening event in the new 12-part series of competitions for creators using the EdenSpark open development platform. The first jam took place in May 2026 and challenged participants to create original games around the theme of “Transformation.” The EdenSpark team selected three winners in the Dev’s Choice category, while the participants themselves voted for the Community Choice award. All four winning games now have a chance to be shortlisted for the grand finale, where the top prizes will reach $50,000.

The Community Choice award went to SubMind by lookibed, which received $1,000. The two-player co-op puzzle game earned the highest score in the public vote, becoming the favorite of the jam participants themselves.

“I’m very happy to win,” said lookibed, creator of SubMind. “I hope the jams continue, and I’m planning to take part again.”

The third Dev’s Choice award went to Rhytm Cube by F1ow, which received $750. A solo project, Rhytm Cube impressed the jury with its clean rhythm-based gameplay, charming visuals and unexpectedly atmospheric presentation.

“Taking third place is a great result and a sign that my idea worked,” said F1ow, creator of Rhytm Cube. “The contest was an excellent opportunity to test a new tool, and although some parts of the engine are still evolving, I’m very interested in its potential.”

The second Dev’s Choice award went to CyberSlasher by 3D Artel MISIS team, which received $1,000. The project stood out as one of the most visually ambitious entries of the jam, combining a roguelike structure with extensive 3D content and a strong use of EdenSpark’s rendering features.

“It was an unusual experience working with a new engine, and an exciting experiment with graphics and physics,” said the CyberSlasher team. “As new shader features arrive, we plan to improve the game’s visual side even further, and with new team members joining us, the code will also move to the next level.”

The first place in Dev’s Choice went to Slime Shape by teezaboo, which received a prize of $2,250. The EdenSpark team praised the game as a concise and polished puzzle-platformer built around a strong core mechanic with clear commercial potential.

“Had a great time at this Game Jam,” said teezaboo, creator of Slime Shape. “It inspired me tocreate something fun and unique. I’m honored to be among the winners.”

Gaijin Entertainment also announces that the second EdenSpark Game Jam has now started. The new theme is “Mass Control,” inviting creators to explore any interpretation of the phrase — from crowd control and social manipulation to physics-based control of mass itself. As before, participants have 14 days to create and submit a playable project using the EdenSpark platform, either solo or in teams of up to 10 people.

“We were excited to see how quickly developers turned the first theme into complete, playable ideas,” said Anton Yudintsev, founder of Gaijin Entertainment.

“The first jam showed that EdenSpark can already help creators prototype real games in a very short time. Now we are looking forward to seeing what they do with Mass Control.”

The EdenSpark Game Jam series is designed to give aspiring developers a recurring opportunity to build, publish and showcase original games. Beyond prizes, EdenSpark developers can also use the platform as a pathway to bring their projects to consoles while retaining full ownership of their games and the freedom to self-publish them elsewhere.
