I have seen plenty of Kickstarter games so far this year. Even so, there have been very few titles that have given me that “WOW!” feeling. Well, all of that changed earlier today when I saw Mnemosyne Games super sexy gothic pixel action/platformer “Demoniaca” (the game will be released to Windows, MAC, Linux, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, 360, Wii and Wii-U). And let me tell you why. Well, for starter, “Demoniaca” looks and feels like a mix of “King of Fighter” (the fighting part), “Castlevania” (the dark and gothic environment), “The Black Heart” (the bizarre characters/fighters) and “Blood Rayne” (the red-haired female fighter that seeks revenge). And that´s more than enough to make my Gamer heart all worked up. I also love the fact that Mnemosyne has decided to turn “Demoniaca” into a mature action/platform title, as we don´t get to see all that many titles like that anymore.

My money is on the red-haired lady.

So yes, you guessed it. That means tons of violence and sexually explicit content (nudity, sex, kick-ass action and all that good stuff). Nevertheless, I would like to point out that there will be two different version of “Demoniaca”. And that would be the uncensored edition (adults only), and the standard edition (the more family friendly version of the game). In other words, you are free to choose if you want to experience the toned-down version or the raw and brutal version of the game (guess three times which version I will play?). However, I´m quite certain that you will have a blast no matter which edition of “Demoniaca” you chose to play. Personally, I´ve been waiting a very long time for a game such as this. Especially since Konami doesn´t make “Castlevania” games like they used to in the good Ol´days.

I don´t know about you, but I love the art style and the ladies of “Demoniaca” :3

And by the looks of it, “Demoniaca” might just fill out that dark old-school “Castlevania” void. As I´ve had a big urge for games like that for years. I just hope that Mnemosyne Games will pick the right kind of music for “Demoniaca” (epic video game music is very important to me, as it affects the gameplay experience). In my opinion, they should go for a similar sound to the “Castlevania Symphony of the Night” (creepy vampire/gothic-like Rock/Metal and classic music) and “Vampire the masquerade bloodlines” (industrial metal and a very dark ambient gothic sound). Oh well, time will tell I guess. Any ways, “Demoniaca” is with no doubt the coolest Kofvania title that I´ve ever seen. In fact, I can´t even recall seeing anything quite like it before (a game that mixes “Castlevania´s” platform mechanics with  “King of Fighters” fighting mechanics. I also have to admit that I found a liking to the plot (I like revenge stories), characters (there are plenty of neat main and NPC characters in the game) and setting of “Demoniaca” (I LOVE gothic games).

demoniaca stretch goals

I really hope that “Demoniaca” will reach as many stretch goals as possible, before the Kickstarter campaign ends.

Well, so far so good. However, Mnemosyne Games needs to raise 15,000 Euro on Kickstarter in-order for “Demoniaca” to become a reality (so far the game has collected 2,500 Euros, and there is 28 days left on the Kickstarter campaign). And even though that´s quite a lot of money, I still believe that Mnemosyne will reach their Kickstarter goal on time. It would also be great if “Demoniaca” could reach some of its stretch goals as well (yes, I admit it. I´m really curious about the “sex scene” and “romance system”. So sue me!). I´m of course more than aware of the fact that it´s just wishful thinking on my behalf (at least for now), but I still wish Mnemosyne Game the best of luck on Kickstarter! (“Demoniaca” is said to take between one to two years to develop).

With that said, what do you think about “Demoniaca” so far? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!

***Disclosure***
I will most likely back “Demoniaca” on Kickstarter.
