I (Robin Ek, TGG) received some very positive and good news just now, because less than ten minutes ago I found out that “Dimension Drive” now has an Early Access launch date and a brand-new trailer (you can watch the trailer further down the page):
“Hi Robin,
We are David Jimenez and Alejandro Santiago from 2Awesome Studio. Several years ago, while working as space engineers, we decided to make a fun space game, Dimension Drive. Our journey since then has been long and certainly not free from trouble. We went through an infamously trolled Kickstarted campaign, but thanks to the game industry community at large we bounced back and successfully Kickstarted Dimension Drive on the second round.
The challenge then was to make a game worth of all the support we received and make people who contributed to its creation proud. Now, in the last steps of this journey we are excited to announce that Dimension Drive is coming to Early Access February 16th, 2017.
Thanks to the Kickstarter community we managed to create a solid experience. During our Early Access period we want to open the game to more players and make it bigger and better.” – David and Alejandro, 2Awesome Studio
In other words, that means that we should be able to play the Early Access version of “Dimension Drive” on the 18th of February this year. Well, at least if everything goes according to plan (which I really hope). So I wish 2Awesome Studio´s the best of luck with the “Dimension Drive” =) And if you haven´t read our interview with 2Awesome Studio just yet, then I would recommend you to do that as soon as possible. As you get an ever deeper insight of how, when and why “Dimension Drive” came to be.
