Earlier today I was contacted by Mr. Henrik Englund from the Swedish indie studio Skygoblin (Englund works with art and animation), and he informed me that Skygoblin´s afro-noir point & click adventure saga The Journey Down”, is now live on Kickstarter (it´s the final chapter in the Journey Down trilogy). So naturally, I had to check the game out (especially since the previous games have received some really good reviews and grades). Well, done and said. And I’m really impressed by “The Journey Down” so far (a game which is heavily inspired by “Monkey Island“, “Grim Fandango” and the African Makonde and Chokwe tribes). However, Skygoblin needs to raise $35,000 on Kickstarter to finish chapter three of “The Journey Down”.

Say hello to Bwana (the tall dude with dreads) and his trusted sidekick Kito (the little guy to the far left).
So I hope to spread some noise about the project with this post. As I would love to see a final resolution of “The Journey Down” saga, speaking of which. “If” you pledge $24 (or more) to “The Journey Down´s” Kickstarter campaign. Then you will get the two previous chapters for free! (and that´s a really good deal if you like point-and-click adventure games). Personally, I feel in love with the feel and look of the game right away, and the soundtrack is dope as hell as well (Simon D’Souza´s epic jazz reggae awaits you!). And I´ve been told that the story and design for chapter three is already in place, so SkyGoblin are really excited to kickoff the actual production of “The Journey Down” part III as soon as possible.
So if you´re a fan of old-school point-and-click adventure games, then you should most definitely check out the Kickstarter campaign for “The Journey Down”. And before I forget it, we will throw a “The Journey Down” giveaway later today ( chapter 1 and 2). So don´t miss out on that one!
Disclosure:
We were given free steam keys for “The Journey Down” chapter 1 and 2, so that we could give them away to our readers and fans.
