You know what they say about rain right? After rain comes sunshine. And there´s a lot of sunshine to be found in quite a few ex Blizzard employees projects right now.
Like Awfully Nice Studios 2D side scrolling shoot em up game “The Bug Butcher” (for Windows and MAC OS) for example (which btw got Greenlit on Steam Greenlight not so long ago).
A game which is said to be inspired by the classic arcade shooter “Super Pang” (i still remember the Snes game actually).
And i can´t argue with that, because that’s the vibes that i felt when i watched some movies from “The Bug Butcher”. So i sure hope that i will get a chance to try “The Bug Butcher” in the near future =)
About The Bug Butcher:
You are Harry, a brash and tenacious exterminator, who runs a one man pest control service called “The Bug Butcher”. Amongst his peers Harry is known as ‘that guy who only fires up’, even if shooting straight were strategically far more efficient.
Still no one dares to question the tactics of the best damn exterminator in the biz! So with a dash of vertical compulsion and a healthy arsenal of military grade weaponry Harry faces off with the meanest and toughest alien bugs that the universe has to offer.
