I got some good news to share with those who enjoyed Naturally Intelligent’s pixel-art adventure game  “Patchman vs. Red Circles” (the game launched for PC in October of 2017), because Naturally just informed us that they second episode of “Patchman” (“Blue Squares“) has landed on Kickstarter (the game is said to launch for Windows, Linux and MAC some time in December of this year):

“Hi there! If you’re reading this, you’re probably interested in indie games! 🙂 Well, I’m developing a new one: Patchman vs. Blue Squares! It’s a single-player pixel-art adventure for desktop and mobile. Please check out the new trailer on one of our links, and if you are interested, try the free demo, wishlist on Steam, and pledge on Kickstarter!”Naturally Intelligent

“Patchman vs. Blue Squares” made me think about a mix of “Earthbound”, “Toejam and earl” and “B.O.B.”.

So what exactly is “Patchman vs. Blue Squares” all about then? Well, here’s what’s known about the game and its plot so far:

“Uh oh! Patchman may have thought he finally redeemed himself, but he’s got exponentially more trouble to deal with in Patchman vs. Blue Squares! First Patchman defeated the Circle Boss and rescued the Sheeple of Forest World in the first episode: Patchman vs. Red Circles, and now he needs to confront the Square Boss and rescue the Sheeple of Office World! Join in the fun and mystery for our second stand-alone episode of the indie-video-game series Don’t Be Patchman!

Patchman’s primary goal is to rescue the Sheeple – and this time, it’s the Sheeple of Office World! What is Office World? Imagine Dunder Mifflin meets Gringotts in The Matrix! The Sheeple of this world love wearing suits and ties, going to boardroom meetings, and grabbing tasty snacks from Vending Machines! However under the shiny surface of Office World lies an outcast segment of society: the Homeless Sheeple! They have to live off of discarded food package wrappers dug out of trash bins. Yes, Patchman will have to rescue them all!”

“Patchman vs. Blue Squares” is said to launch to Windows, MAC and Linux in December of this year “if” the game gets fully funded via Kickstarter.

In other words, fans of “Patchman vs. Red Circles” should get even more awesome content with “Patchman vs. Blue Squares”. However, Naturally Intelligent need to collect 5,000 CAD via Kickstarter in-order to make the “Blue Squares” happen (so far there is about 4,700 CAD missing). Even so, I’m quite sure that Naturally will be able to reach their Kickstarter goal on time, because there is still 30 days left on the Kickstarter watch.

So with that said, I wish them the best of luck with their Kickstarter campaign =)
