I know that there´s quite a few out there (including myself) that´s more than hungry for ID Software´s new Doom game (which rocked the E3 event like a Rockstar), that´s great of course, but we will have to wait until Q1/Q2 2016 sometime for the next Doom title (PC, PS4 and Xbox One). That bites for sure, but here´s something that might ease your (our pain) a bit. I just found out that the musical mastermind Andrew Hulshult (he made the Rise of the Triad 2013 soundtrack) has released a Remastered Soundtrack of the original Doom, and the album is called “IDKFA – Knee Deep In The Dead Fu“, and guess what? IDKFA is 100% free!
So you can download the album via ModDB at no cost at all =) I have listened through the whole album, and I have to say that Andrew Hulshult has created one of the best Remastered editions of the Doom soundtrack that I’ve ever heard. Not only that, the sound quality and clearness are top-notch on the IDKFA album. So whatcha waiting for Christmas?!
