We (TGG) were just informed by Ice Quake Studios that their 2D pixel art PvPvE extraction shooter, ‘Project S.U.N.D.I.A.L.’, is coming to PC via Steam on April 27th next year (2027):
“After a long time in development, we can finally put a date on it.
Inspired by S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Escape from Tarkov, the 2D pixel art PvPvE extraction shooter launches on Steam on 27 April 2027., playable in both single-player and online multiplayer.
S.U.N.D.I.A.L. takes the tension, survival and high-risk progression of extraction shooters and brings it into a 2D top-down world.
Head into dangerous regions, complete contracts, find valuable gear and get back to extraction alive. What you bring can be lost. What you make it home with helps you build your hideout, improve your equipment and prepare for the next run.”
“We’ve been working on S.U.N.D.I.A.L. for a long time, so finally putting a release date on it is a huge moment for us. The idea was to take what we love about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Escape from Tarkov and see what that feeling could become in a 2D world.” – Eldar Blake, Project Lead
And here’s some of the game’s key features:
Full single-player and online PvPvE
High-risk extraction gameplay
Deep weapon modification
Wounds, radiation, hunger, weather and other survival systems
Hideout progression and survivor recruitment
Dynamic regions, events and weather
Raiders, Hollows and hostile players
Quest and much more
So if you like the sound of that, then be sure to watch the trailer for ‘Project S.U.N.D.I.A.L.’ further down the page! And with that said, what’s your take on the game so far? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
