Baltimore, Maryland – June 8, 2016 – Impact Soundworks and OverClocked ReMix are pleased to present the new standard in classic game music creation with an exciting new sound library titled Super Audio Cart. The library features over 5,500 samples recorded from seven legendary gaming systems that include:

“There are plenty of plugins that emulate certain classic sound chips, but an emulation is never as good as the real thing,” comments Impact Soundworks co-founder Andrew “zircon” Aversa. “That’s why we recorded from the systems themselves to create these sounds. When you play a square wave in Super Audio Cart, you’re hearing the sound straight from an actual NES. It doesn’t get any better at that!”

Aimed at professionals and hobbyists alike, Super Audio Cart runs in Kontakt Player, meaning anyone with a Mac or PC can use it to create console-specific music. In addition to a large number of authentic sounds from these classic gaming systems, the library also includes many designer presets that go far beyond the system limitations, meaning composers can perfectly recreate classic game music or create new music with hybrid sounds.
