There is a truly good Megadeth song called “Wake up dead” (I´ll get to the point shortly), and that song would describe really well how I felt when I saw Randy Pitchford (Gearbox Software´s CEO and co-founder) sing an anti-GamerGate song live during Pax East 2016 (I know, I couldn´t believe it at first either). And that´s just the half of it, because during Pitchford´s grandiose PW 16 ranting song he pointed out very loud and clear that he owns the “Duke Nukem” IP. And Pitchford did so in such a way that it sounded like an open threat against the “Duke Nukem” community (that´s at least what it sounded like to me)…
So yeah, I´m somewhat worried about the 20th Anniversary Edition of “Duke Nukem 3D”. As Pitchford “might” want to ruin the game somehow in-order to get back at that one #GamerGate person (CommanderPaul1, by the looks of it) who made a joke which pissed Pitchford off (as seen in the picture above). Furthermore, let´s keep in mind that Gearbox Software has released quite a few failures as of lately (“Battleborn” and ” Aliens: Colonial Marines”, for example). And now I also have to worry about what Randy Pitchford might do to “Duke Nukem World 3D Tour” as well…(Pitchford seems to have gone full SJW mode).
And to make matters even more bizarre (well, at least in my case), I actually watched the reveal trailer for “Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary Edition World Tour” last night (the game is set for a release on the 11th of October for Windows, PS4 and Xbox One). And at the time I thought that the trailer was pretty cool. However, then I woke up 6-7 hours later, and saw all of this madness. So as you might imagine, it was a pretty surreal experience for me. As I went from “Yes! Duke Nukem is back again!” to “holy jumping mother of god no!”. And quite frankly, I think that Randy Pitchford´s anti-#GamerGate song even tops Tim Schafer´s GDC 2015 Sockpuppet scandal speech (yes, it´s that bad!). In the matter of fact, I have never EVER seen anything quite like it before. And in my opinion, if Randy Pitchford got this much butt-hurt from one single joke. Then he should seek help for mental problems asap.
And with all of this fresh in mind, maybe now people will understand why #GamerGate is still around and why they are needed. As it´s quite obvious that the games industry is very sick, and in deep need of a cure and some much needed cleansing. So let´s get together and clean up this mess asap so that we can get back to games and Gaming again!

I´m a huge fan of Duke Nukem, so I´m seriously concerned about “Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary Edition”…
