Poland-based indie games developer/publisher Star Drifters and indie games developer 2Dynamic Games, today announced with great pride and delight that their sci-fi top-down action shooter/tower defense game “Lumencraft”, is now available for PC via Early Access through Steam and GOG.

In order to mine Lumen, a precious mineral, players will dive into a deep underground world inhabited by dreadful creatures. “Lumencraft” depicts a dark future in which humanity can survive only thanks to a rare crystal with high energy potency called Lumen. Players must go into deep underground mines to extract the precious mineral.

Sounds like an ordinary task, but not for miners in the dystopian future – the underground world has no mercy for guests from the surface. Hordes of bloodthirsty creatures await anyone who dares to enter lightless underground tunnels. Prepare to protect your mining base from the invasion at all costs.

Lumencraft is a combination of a top-down shooter and a base-building game with tower defense elements. Dynamic lights and a fully destructible environment, together with intense gunfights inspired by Alien Breed, offer superb tactical gameplay topped by survival elements and a unique futuristic atmosphere of an industrial underground world. The developers also drew inspiration from modern titles like Darkwood and The Riftbreaker, implementing into Lumencraft the best elements from both games, such as a highly immersive atmosphere and the possibility to expand your base.
