Press release:
SAN SALVADOR, SV – Wednesday, May 30, 2018 – Stonebot Studio, the dev team behind Stereo Aereo introduced their new project called The Last Friend the last March at Game Developers Conference. Now, it makes history for being the first Salvadoran game title to receive a nomination in an international contest.
We are so proud and excited to announce The Last Friend is among the five nominees for the Best Latin American Game Award, in one of the most important indie events in Latin America, Brazil’s Independent Games Festival, also known as BIG Festival. The winner will be announced at the ceremony that will take place on June 28th in São Paulo.
And this is just the beginning! Because of The Last Friend was one of the best-valued games by the audience in the last Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, for its art and gameplay mechanics, we drew Nintendo’s attention. Thus, we want to take advantage of such wonderful nomination excitement to announce that our Tower Defense and Beat’m up hybrid will also come to Nintendo Switch. We are so sorry for Nintendo users, now they will also have the great responsibility of saving the last puppies on the planet along with PS4, Xbox One and, PC players next year.
To celebrate the first nomination and the Nintendo Switch arrival, Stonebot Studio is proud to share their first official trailer of The Last Friend. We hope you like it. And without further *a-woof, please enjoy this appetizer!
The Last Friend, a tower defense beat ‘em up, will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch early next year.
