Press release:
September 25th 2020 – Game developer & publisher Lilith Games is excited to announce that it will be expanding its wildly popular idle RPG, “AFK Arena” next week with the addition of two new original heroes, Zaphreal and Lucretia.

Introduced through a series of cinematic trailers as well as a forthcoming five minute animated short, the tragic tale of the married couple and their child will unfold as part of the new “Tales of Esperia”. Zaphreal and Lucretia make their much-anticipated entrance in-game on September 29th when players will be able to choose either character to unlock for free until October 26th.

Players will be able to follow the fate of married couple Zaphreal and Lucretia through a series of stylish cinematic trailers. The “Memory of Lucretia” animated short opens a window into the history of this tragic tale, while the battle video bears witness to the devastating moment that finally ripped this two protagonists apart.

There is no right or wrong in the couple’s emotional story of duty, abandoned love and tragedy, but as players watch both sides of the conflict, they will ultimately be asked to choose a side between love or duty.

Both “Tales of Esperia” shorts are high-quality animations which have been designed to enrich the history of AFK Arena and add even more depth to its world. Through the latest trailers, players will be faced with a choice of siding with one of the two new heroes and unlocking either one for free.

Players that choose Zaphreal, a member of the Celestials faction, gain access to his focused lightning attacks that deal massive damage to all in their path. Players that choose Lucretia, who is aligned with the Hypogeans can expect a more physical combat-style with curved attacks that cut swaths through her foes.

Zaphrael and Lucretia are the latest additions to AFK Arena’s continually expanding cast of characters that have been enjoyed by over six million players so far. The game’s casual gameplay allows players to level up their heroes and gain rewards while AFK (away from keyboard).

The game was nominated for the Users’ Choice category for Google Play’s ‘Best of 2019’ and has since continued to grow with more characters, game modes and maps added all the time. Players can side with either Zaphreal or Lucretia to permanently add them to their roster until October 26th. AFK Arena can be downloaded now from Google Play and the App Store for free.
