“We are quite fond of the various piano arrangement albums that exist for many gaming franchises, and we’re particularly partial to ones arranged by composer and arranger Masashi Hamauzu,” comments Wayô Records producer Romain Dasnoy.
“We’ve always yearned for a volume dedicated to Chrono Cross, and the 20th anniversary seemed like an opportune time. We wanted to be sure to do it right, so we conceived it as a classy piano album with arrangements by Masashi Hamauzu and arrangers close to Yasunori Mitsuda. This is exactly what Chrono Cross deserves, and we are working hard to make it an indispensable work for fans and music lovers alike.”
Across the Worlds took to Kickstarter yesterday and hit its 25,000 EUR goal in a matter of hours. Wayô Records has enjoyed past success on Kickstarter with 2019’s Little Big Adventure. Backers of Across the Worlds will receive a digital copy of the album starting at 15 EUR with other rewards including physical CDs, vinyl, piano sheet music books, and even a limited deluxe Radical Dreamers music box available at higher support tiers. The funding will be used to cover production and recording costs and produce and deliver physical rewards. Stretch goals include additional tracks, artwork, and even a professional live performance with video distributed to backers.
