The award-winning independent game developers NExT Studios and META Publishing are today very happy and excited to announce that they are planning to release a brand-new matchmaking system and levels editor for their co-op puzzle adventure game “Biped (both of which is said to be ready for release some time in Q4 2021).

“Exactly a year ago, Games publisher META Publishing’s, independent developer NEXT Studios’, and video-sharing website bilibili’s award-winning game BIPED first landed on Steam! Today, we are happy to announce that we’ve been working on a new matchmaking system and levels editor for our game.

From Q4 2021, you will be able to explore the world of BIPED alongside friends from all over the world and fully express your creativity by building and sharing new levels with the community!” – META Publishing and NExT Studios

Biped is a bright co-op action-adventure game with a strong focus on moment-to-moment collaboration between Aku and Sila, two cute robots tackling a bonding journey together. You will explore forests, slide through valleys, conquer icy mountains, and best brain-teasing puzzles in 30 unique and exciting levels. Biped currently supports single player, local multiplayer, and direct online co-op modes. Apart from PC (through Steam and GOG), the game is also available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

To top things off, we have another bit of news: BIPED will be coming to the Epic Games Store on April 22, 2021 and we’ve already launched a Coming Soon page that you can find here! Finally, the game will also participate in The Steam Remote Play Together Sale & Livestream, which takes place March 25 – 29 at 10 AM Pacific! Don’t forget to go to Steam and check it out!

Main Gameplay Features

Master innovative and simple controls: Aku and Sila can move each of their legs independently! This allows you to perform various moves — from simple walking and sliding to more advanced actions and tricks like operating machinery, manipulating items and even cutting wood!

Forge strong friendships: enjoy the adventure solo or grab a friend or a family member and have a blast together in co-op mode. Communicate and coordinate to conquer challenges together and find out how good a pair you truly are!

Explore carefully-crafted environments: your adventure will take you to many beautiful and mysterious locations on the planet. Explore secrets in forests, valleys, waterfalls, and icy mountains and find your way through the puzzling paths that lead to the planetary beacons.

Be a fashion trendsetter: collect treasures and buy goofy hats! Dress up your biped the way you like or, better yet, match your partner’s looks to become the most dazzling adventurers on the planet!
