Press release:
SEATTLE – July 19, 2019 – Materia Collective is pleased to present the Elsinore (Original Game Soundtrack) by composer Adam Gubman.

The fantasy folk soundtrack features a beautiful medieval soundcape accented with a number of guest vocalists to breath new life into the world of Shakespeare’s Hamlet where Elsinore takes place.

Gubman–best known for scoring over 700 videogames and contributing music to Disney theme parks, including Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge–has composed nearly two hours of music for the game.

The score is at times soothing, moving, and even unsettling, making a perfect accompaniment to the clever time-looping adventure gameplay centered around mystery and preventing a startling vision from coming to pass. Elsinore (Original Game Soundtrack) is now available wherever digital music is sold:

Elsinore (Original Game Soundtrack) on All Storefronts

“This album represents a deep passion for creating audio cultures in the games I work on,” notes composer Adam Gubman.

“Almost two hours of music flesh out this world, as Golden Glitch gave me free rein to color in the spaces as much as I felt necessary – and I enjoyed every minute.

The original songs that appear here both instrumentally and with vocals act as songs that might exist in a time when Ophelia, stuck in a time loop, must unravel the mysteries surrounding the murders at Elsinore castle.

I’m truly grateful for the dozens of vocalists and instrumentalists that gave their time and talent to help this passion project come to life.”

In addition to the digital release, a special six-panel digipak two-disc edition has been printed with beautiful artwork and design.

About Adam Gubman
Adam Gubman is a multimedia composer with a songsmith’s heart. He’s written melody-packed scores for feature films, theme park attractions, and more than 700 videogames.

He produced the smash anthem “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, which won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Oscar and a Grammy.

As a song producer, he’s lent his tune savviness to the films and television shows Baywatch, John Shaft, Ride Along, Galavant, The Smurfs, and Sausage Party, collaborating with composers such as Alan Menken, John Debney, and Christopher Lennertz.

Gubman is currently arranging and producing for Justin Paul and Glenn Slater for the ABC series American Housewife.

In the gaming world, where he got his start on 2004’s Pirates of the Burning Sea, he’s run the gamut of genres with original score-and often original songs-for some of the biggest mobile games and publishing giants like Blizzard, Ubisoft, Sony Online Interactive, Electronic Arts, and Disney Online Interactive.

He’s also created music and songs for the magic-makers at Disney Imagineering for Disneyland, Disney World, and the Tokyo Disney properties, including the latest theme song for Tokyo Disney’s 35th Anniversary.

Gubman grew up in Orange County, where he started composing, playing piano, and tinkering with computers at the age of seven. He produced his first record at 16, and after high school he joined producer CJ Vanston’s team, working on projects for artists such as Michael Bolton, Carole King, and Spinal Tap.

“I love the challenge of writing in varied styles, in mashing up ridiculous things that have never been squished together in the same song, and experimenting with genre-specific production boundaries,” he says, helping producers and directors “Imagine the sound of their world”.
