Press release:
The Mexico-based indie games developer/publisher Lienzo today announced with great thrill and joy that they have just released a brand-new playable Xbox demo (Xbox Series X/S/Xbox One) for their upcoming Latin-futurism cyberstone colossus fighter “Aztech Forgotten Gods” (the demo will stay avaible until December 21st, 2021).
Furthermore, Lienzo has also just announced that they have updated and re-enabled the “Aztech Forgotten Gods” demo on Steam. Simply put, both Xbox and PC players are now able to enjoy the “Aztech Forgotten Gods” demo until December 21st. In other words, you better hurry and download that demo before it goes up in smoke!
“We are very happy to announce that as of December 7th, a new Demo for Aztech Forgotten Gods has been available to download on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S as part of the ID@Xbox Winter Game Fest Demo event, which in turn runs as a part of Geoff Keighley’s The Game Awards!
At this point in time, everyone in the studio is hard at work polishing the game as much as possible as we prepare for the end of our development cycle with Aztech. However, seeing the general interest around the game, and the positive reception our October NEXT FEST Steam Demo had, we couldn’t in good conscience end the year without giving you a little more.
So, we worked on an extended version of our October Demo, for you to enjoy a little taste of what the city of Tenochtitlan has to offer.
In the demo you will meet some of Aztech’s main characters, visit a few of the game’s recurring locations, including our futuristic rendition of Tenochtitlan, and finally, you will get to face off against the mighty All-Mother Goddess, Coatlicue, just one of the many deities waiting for you in this Mesoamerican metropolis.
It’s quite humbling to share the stage with such amazing titles that are also running demos at the ID@Xbox Winter Game Fest. And what a stage! The Game Awards is an event that means a whole lot to a lot of gamers out there, us included. So, it’s fun to think that we were a part of it in a small way.

But that’s not it!
Because we want to bring the game to as many people as we can, we have also decided to update and re-enable our Aztech Forgotten Gods’ demo on Steam!
Following its counterpart, Aztech’s Steam demo will be available starting right now, and until Decemeber 21st. Be sure to give it a go and let us know your thoughts. If you had previously downloaded the NEXT FEST demo, then the game should update automatically.” – Lienzo
